For 90 years, the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce has been a cornerstone of the Bainbridge business community. Through our public and member events we have forged relationships that have held strong for decades. Our close partnerships with local organizations, both charitable and business related, have allowed us to further the efforts of our economic development on the Island.

Chamber Vision

Bainbridge Island is a vibrant community of diverse backgrounds and lifestyles; a year-round travel destination providing cultural activities, outdoor adventure, and personal enrichment; and a model for strong, sustainable local economy.

Chamber Mission

The Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce is a community of people dedicated to enhancing business opportunities and the quality of life on Bainbridge, making it a great place to live, work and play.

How do we do this?

  • Advocate for the business community at a municipal, state and federal level.
  • Encourage collaboration within the business community.
  • Maintain a referral-recognition system for Chamber members.
  • Increase involvement and input of members in Chamber activities.
  • Assist and encourage home-based businesses.
  • Promote the movement to “shop local” all year round.
  • Provide community information to residents and visitors.
  • Sustain and encourage tourism and visitor activity.

Chamber Affiliations

There is a misconception that all local chambers are automatically associated with U.S. Chamber of Commerce. This is not the case.  Like every partnership-based organization, you must join and pay dues to be part of the national Chamber. The Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce is not a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The U.S. Chamber is a separate organization made up of national and international businesses and corporations, not a collection of small chambers of commerce. None of our membership dues go to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The Bainbridge Island Chamber is a member of the Washington Chamber of Commerce Executives, the Western Association of Chamber Executives and the Association of Washington Business. These organizations serve as a way to access peers, libraries of best practices and other professional training and resources.

The Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce supports local business by providing business exposure, networking, advocacy, marketing opportunities and educational resources.
